Rohit Karandikar is an Investment Banking Analyst at Avendus and a 3rd year undergraduate student in Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science at IIT Bombay. With a keen interest in Analytics, Operations, Data Analysis, Quantitative Finance, and Trading, Rohit has been actively working on projects to develop and launch products to smoothen business flow. He believes that the experiences he has had in the past would certainly help him in these roles and hence, he is looking for a summer internship in the aforementioned topics. Prior to joining Avendus, Rohit worked as a Business Consultant at EY, where he was part of team Asterisk providing supply chain planning solutions. He worked on live projects focusing on BI using PowerBi, PostgreSQL, and Python. He also has experience as an Event Manager at Techfest, IIT Bombay, where he was part of a 22-membered core team responsible for organizing Asia's largest science and technology festival. He pioneered the first-ever virtual fest by adapting to the Covid pandemic. Rohit's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which he is expected to complete in December 2022. He has a strong technical background, with expertise in Python. With 0.86 years of relevant experience, Rohit is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is always eager to learn new things.
