Rohit Mapakshi is a skilled Software Engineer with over 4 years of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), testing, search, and web development. He is currently working as a Member Technical Staff at Zoho Corporation, where he has built core functionality for Zia Insights, a data-to-text generation software and worked on Named Entity Recognition. He has also upgraded the software design of Ask Zia, a search-driven analytics software, and expanded NLP capabilities to other in-house products. Additionally, Rohit has developed modules and tools in the Test Framework. Prior to his current role, Rohit worked as a Project Trainee at Zoho, where he experimented with NLP techniques and gained a deep understanding of text representation techniques. He monitored customer feedback to understand the user's intent and suggest revisions to the application. As an academic project, he implemented a data-driven parser with Support Vector Machines (SVMs). Rohit has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Halemind, where he developed a feature that identifies the relevant ICD codes for a given medical diagnosis using elastic search.
