Rohit Maurya is an autodidact and knowledge seeker with over 17 years of experience across multiple complex custom application, product development, and consulting engagements. He is a founding member and partner at Sahaj Software, where he primarily associates with extensive end-to-end development of large-scale distributed applications and integration of disparate systems leveraging the breadth of new-age technologies. Rohit has worked with management and development teams to improve their development and delivery process through the introduction of new techniques and changes to the development/deployment process. He has worked with an education startup developing an end-to-end business collaboration platform for a client which includes various modules like machine learning (for content classification), distributed search infrastructure using elastic-search, jabber integration, ebook reader, etc. Rohit was part of a team building a publishing platform focused on the needs of the financial industry. The system is a one-stop solution for the diverse publishing needs of the financial industry. It involves integration with a number of transformation libraries, developing the web platform working with large background jobs to achieve PDF, postscript document generation, and a typesetting engine. RoR was the core technology to build the platform. Rohit is passionate about coaching and establishing development practices like CI, CD, and DevOps. He has enabled teams by coaching them to set up infrastructure that enables rapid prototyping and development, improved quality through test automation, reduced cycle times, and eliminating waste by using appropriate branching techniques, automating builds, and deployments. Rohit has been part of the team for Agile Organizational transformation engagements where the primary objective was to move towards an "Adaptive Leadership" model. This was achieved through coaching and hands-on enablement resulting in highly collaborative, loosely structured self-organizing teams with specific focus on engineering practices(XP). Rohit's tech stack includes Integration, Search, infra, SDET, test, Ruby, ML, DevOps, and Web. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Physics from Andhra University. With 18.62 years of relevant experience, Rohit is a seasoned professional who has successfully delivered complex projects and enabled teams to achieve their goals.
