Rohit Saboo is a highly skilled Principal Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the tech industry. Currently, he works at Amazon in this capacity, where he is responsible for leading and overseeing various engineering projects. Rohit's expertise lies in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, NoSQL, and infra. Prior to his current position, Rohit worked at Nauto as an Engineering Lead. While there, he led a team that built a high-availability, high ops (>100k) driver identification system in the cloud using Dempster-Shafer/Bayesian machine learning methods and vision-based deep learning methods. He also led efforts for lossless compression of IMU data, achieving 4x reduction over a custom gzipped binary. Rohit's team won the Scylla user award for part of this work. He has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina, which he obtained in 2010.
