Rohit Sethi is a software engineer at BrowserStack with a passion for data and algorithms. He has spent his career creating and curating data to reveal patterns that were previously hidden in chaos. Rohit takes pride in being a caretaker of data, cleaning and organizing it to make it meaningful and useful. He has experience in managing large-scale data warehouses and mentoring data to tell compelling stories. In addition to his expertise in data engineering and data science, Rohit has interests in electronics, DevOps, and building random stuff. He considers himself somewhere in between software engineering and data science. Currently, Rohit works in a data engineering team at BrowserStack, where he is responsible for building pipelines to get data into warehouses. He establishes observability in the company by dealing with logs, metrics, and traceability. Rohit collects, organizes, stores, provides, and visualizes data at scale. He also manages infrastructures, solves ad-hoc problems, and has strong people skills. Before joining BrowserStack, Rohit worked as an AI research associate engineer at Veda Labs, where he was responsible for training, testing, and deploying deep learning models to perform tasks such as crowd analytics, face demographics, unique repeat count, mask detection, and more in a retail store. He also worked as an AI research intern at Veda Labs, where he improved face detection, demographics recognition, person detection, and face recognition. Rohit holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He has 3.19 years of relevant experience and is proficient in software engineering, testing, AI, research science, data engineering, data science, neural networks, DevOps, infra, and deep learning.
