Rohit Sharma is an experienced software developer with a Master's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. He has a diverse range of skills in Java, C, C++, C#, and SQL, gained through both his academic projects and professional experience. He has a keen interest in Big Data technologies and Distributed Systems and has worked on projects related to Hadoop and other technologies under the Hadoop ecosystem. Currently, Rohit is a Software Developer Intern at Wipro, where he led a team of three people to develop an Employee Self Service Web Portal project. He designed and developed a normalized database schema, implemented Triggers and Stored Procedures, and used C#, .NET 3.5 Framework, AJAX, and SQL Server 2008. In the past, he has also worked on a Leave Management System project and integrated it with an Employee Self Service Portal, implemented ASP.NET Forms authentication on all web pages for enhanced security, and developed the web application in a 3-tier architecture. Rohit is a quick learner and enjoys working in a team, collaborating with other people. He has also worked as a Software Intern at DataTorrent, where he developed various Malhar (DataTorrent open-source library) operators, wrote unit tests for the operators, developed benchmark applications for the various operators, and tested them on the DataTorrent Hadoop cluster. He has also worked on improvements to the DataTorrent platform and has experience working with various distributed system technologies like Hadoop, Cassandra, Aerospike, and Kafka. Rohit's education includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
