Rohit Trivedi is an experienced web developer with over 10 years of experience working with startups, SMEs, and MNCs. He is an expert in Ruby on Rails and has worked in domains such as crowdfunding, E-commerce, and EdTech. Rohit has helped build and scale Milaap's Microlending and Crowdfunding products from MVP to one of the most successful products in Asia in their category. He has also led the upgrading of their web app to the latest version of Ruby on Rails and integration with clients like Salesforce, Ola, and Uber. At Zinc Learning Labs, he is responsible for the overall consumer product used by more than 100 thousand active users and led the integration with Google Classroom. Rohit helped re-architecture the reporting mechanism to ETL based data pipeline. Currently, Rohit is working as an Independent Consultant - Technical Lead where he leads a team of 7-8 developers to deliver e-commerce and event management platforms within tight deadlines. He has conceptualized and implemented an events app POC, dockerized the development environment for smooth onboarding for new joiners, implemented error and log monitoring, revamped the UI functionality by making it much more modular, and provided code review and mentorship to junior developers. In the past, Rohit has worked as a Senior Engineer (Independent Consultant) at Zinc Learning Labs, where he built highly interactive Close Reading Game products, reporting infrastructure and dashboard based on DBT, and worked on various backend/frontend functionalities and scaled it to more than 1 million users. He has also implemented integration with Google Classroom and CollegeBoard and built end-to-end user/admin facing features with Backend and frontend. Rohit's technology stack included Ruby on Rails v4.2/v5.0, Postgres, Git, Reactjs, Redux, Elasticsearch, DBT, Angular v1.2, and Solr. Prior to Zinc Learning Labs, Rohit was a Tech Lead at Milaap, where he developed MVP for lending and crowdfunding products, initiated implementation of React.js on the front-end, and integrated with third-party services such as Salesforce and Cloudinary. He also implemented social authentication using Google and Facebook, social activity feed implementation using pub-sub mechanism, and on-the-fly image resizing for responsive images.
