Rohit Vyavahare is a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in engineering and leading development teams to scale platforms for multiple products in a multi-cloud environment with security as a top priority. Currently, Rohit is a Staff Software Engineer at Arkose Labs, where he is responsible for developing and scaling the company's platform while ensuring the highest level of security. Prior to this, he worked at Splunk as a Team Lead and Software Engineer, where he led the Infrastructure team for building and scaling Splunk's observability product's rapid growth. He also led initiatives around Infrastructure-as-code, COGS optimizations, and platform operational efficiency with security best practices in mind. During his time at Splunk, he onboarded multiple observability products to a multi-cloud environment, led the team for moving Infrastructure from legacy orchestration to Kubernetes and Infrastructure as code using Terraform, onboarded hybrid cloud environment, and enhanced the product's security by implementing security controls for SOC2, HIPPA, PCI. He also migrated the development pipeline from GitHub-Jenkins to Gitlab and integrated with Okta API for SSO. Rohit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology. He has expertise in software engineering, senior software engineering, infra, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, GCP, Python, and Java. Throughout his career, Rohit has received multiple awards and recognitions for his excellent contributions, including 5 times Spot bonus winner for excellent contribution and Hackathon winner for reducing startup time of ingest service by taking periodic backup of the in-memory cache to cloud storage.
