Rohit Wadhwani is an experienced technologist with over 10 years of experience working in software R&D teams at VMware, Flipkart, and ECI Telecom. He is currently working as a Software Engineering Manager at VMware, where he manages a team of software engineers responsible for cloud management software for CSI and Cloud Native Storage. Rohit has a proven track record of delivering high-quality enterprise software in the areas of Storage Management and Cloud-Native/K8s with a focus on Storage. Rohit is an expert in various technologies, including Cloud Native Storage, Kubernetes, Kubernetes Container Storage Interface (CSI), Storage Policy-Based Management, Storage, Virtualization, Data Protection, Cloud management, CI&CD, Java, and GoLang. He is passionate about sharing and applying well-known technologies, new ideas, and new ways of thinking to maximize business productivity and improve innovation for sustainable development. As an Engineering Manager, Rohit has 2+ years of experience in attracting, motivating, and retaining talent, hiring & grooming software development teams from the ground up, driving innovation, and managing high-performance agile teams in CICD product releases. He has owned multiple feature deliveries and has experience in managing teams delivering patches, update releases, and customer escalations (on-prem and cloud editions). Rohit has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from b. m. s. college of engineering and a +2 degree in PCM and Computer Science from modern school, Lucknow. He has worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Member of Technical Staff 3 at VMware in the past. Overall, Rohit is a passionate technologist and leader who loves solving hard technical problems while bringing new, innovative products to market. He has built a very strong software development team from the ground up and independently owned product design, development, and QE. He has successfully delivered several products and features in multiple releases in an Agile/CICD development model and has collaborated with Architects, Software Engineers, and Product Management teams across multiple Geographies for the development and testing activities of next-gen cloud & storage products of VMware.
