Rohit Yadav is a highly accomplished Principal Engineer with over 16 years of experience in the tech industry. He currently works at Google as a Google Summer of Code Mentor, where he provides guidance to students on various projects. Prior to this, Rohit worked as a Principal Engineer at ShapeBlue, where he was responsible for overseeing the Software Engineering function and providing leadership and mentorship to the Engineering Team. Rohit is a well-known figure in the CloudStack community, having been involved with the project since 2012. He was made a committer in the Apache CloudStack project in 2012 and has made more code commits to Cloudstack than any other developer in its history. He has been a PMC member of the project since 2015 and is the author and maintainer of the CloudStack CloudMonkey project. Rohit has also been instrumental in the development of many of CloudStack’s flagship features and regularly speaks at events, focusing on developer access to the project. He has also mentored Google Summer of Code students. Before joining ShapeBlue, Rohit worked at Wingify and Citrix Systems. He also spent time at CERN in Geneva, working on the BOINCVM project, which is a volunteer cloud computing platform for scientific research. Rohit holds a B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT-BHU. Outside of work, Rohit has a passion for renewable energy technology and caring for his two cats Gracie and Ashley. With his extensive experience in tech, particularly in CloudStack, Rohit is a valuable asset to any organization he works with, and his leadership and mentorship have helped shape the careers of many young engineers.
