Romeo Roy is a Cyber Security Graduate with a passion for Information Technology and Security. With 4.44 years of relevant experience, he has honed his skills in Splunk and Systems Engineering. Romeo is currently working as a Cyber Security Intern at PlasmIT Healthcare IT Vector, where he assists the cybersecurity team in analysing and developing relevant security features for PlasmIT's major products. His responsibilities also include investigating solutions for improving detection and reaction in the event of a security breach. Romeo works closely with the operational and communications teams to identify practical strategies to update without worrying stakeholders excessively. Additionally, he monitors network and application performance to identify irregular activities. Prior to his current role, Romeo worked as a Team Member at Woolworths Group and as a Systems Engineer at Infosys. At Infosys, he served as a team member in the Supply Chain Management team of the client Advanced Micro Devices (www.amd.com/en). Romeo developed new applications for the team and provided support to the existing applications built in C# .net and deployed in on-premises as well as AWS servers. Romeo holds a Master's degree in Cyber Security from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in AWS.
