Romil Jain is an experienced Software Engineer with a career spanning over six years. He is currently working as an SDE II at Amazon, where he is responsible for designing and developing software systems. Romil is skilled in Java, C, Python, and Golang, and has a keen interest in Distributed Systems and scaling software systems. Romil is a Graduate student pursuing Masters in Computer Science at Stony Brook University. Prior to joining Stony Brook, he worked as a Software Developer at Whatfix and Cisco. He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University, where he taught Computer Networks (CSE 310). Romil has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology. He has also completed his High School education from Lilavatibai Podar Senior Secondary School. Romil is a quick learner and has a passion for technology. He is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow in his career. At Amazon, Romil has contributed to the test automation framework built in Python. He has added critical features and improvements that reduced the time between tests by 20%. He has also added support for a smart switch to the automation framework, which helped make the topology much more flexible, allowing clients to move between various setups as well as switch gateway nodes. Romil's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Python, Golang, Java, SDET, and test. He is a team player and has excellent communication skills.
