Ronak Kogta is a highly skilled engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in building scalable and maintainable infrastructure platforms. He currently works as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Sysdig, where he is responsible for changing the DevOps culture to a data-driven SRE organization. Ronak has a track record of delivering innovative and highly impactful product prototypes, which have converted into fully grown product lines. He has a very high affinity for building highly secure and usable features to deliver the best customer experience along with security. Ronak's past experience includes working as a Sr Developer Experience Engineer at ThoughtSpot, where he designed, led, and handled the first few GA versions of ThoughtSpot cloud from scratch. He also worked on improving build systems and implemented binary caching infrastructure. Additionally, he worked on building a CI/CD framework using argocd and spinnaker, left shift security scanning to pre-commit level to catch compliance and security bugs at a lower level, and built cost governance in the cloud. As an Infrastructure Engineer at ThoughtSpot, Ronak played a key role in scaling both infrastructure and the local team. He worked in the developer experience team and tackled problems of product, developers, release engineers by building better tools, scalable CI, and managing various platforms like K8s, AWS, GCP, and Private Cloud. Ronak worked on scaling their CI to cost-effective EKS setup powered by spot instances, building a faster way to do build tooling for the infrastructure team, and leading a v-team that upgraded gerrit, their core SCM to multi-site replication to support geographical offices. Ronak has a Master of Science (M.S.) by Research in Parallel Algorithms and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from IIIT. He also has a Product Management degree from Upgrad.
