Ronald Luc is an experienced Machine Learning Research Engineer with a passion for advancing the industry through automation. He has successfully developed and deployed Deep Learning solutions in NLP, computer vision, and sound processing, and has won several algorithmic competitions and ML hackathons. As a part of the ML engineering team, Ronald implements NLP and CV projects in high-performance Deep Learning libraries and helps Data Science teams with efficient and scalable data pipelines. He also invents and deploys optimal algorithmic solutions wherever possible, from Edge computation on ARM processors to REST applications on clusters of GPUs. Ronald and his team constantly scout for changes in the field of Machine Learning and data processing, enabling them to follow current best-practices and build on top of state-of-the-art libraries, which they then offer to the industry. Ronald's main tech stack includes Python3.8, C++14/17, TensorFlow2.2, TF.Keras, scikit-learn, numpy, Pandas, Dask, OpenCV4.0, Tornado on AWS, and GCP. He is currently working as an NLP Research Engineer at Runecast Solutions and has previously worked as a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Sclable and as a Software Developer at Artin. Ronald holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Masaryk University Brno and completed his Maturita in Mathematics from Gymnazium Brno, Trida Kapitana Jarose, P. O. He is a research scientist with expertise in ML, NLP, Deep Learning, Python, Computer Vision, Scikit, AWS, Pandas, Keras, Jupyter, Data Scientist, GCP, Backend, and C++.
