Rongyu Lin is an experienced software engineer with over 5 years of industrial experience in software engineering and 2 years of experience in machine learning engineering, full-stack, and mobile development. He has worked with cloud services such as Azure and AWS for over 5 years. Rongyu has a Master's degree in Computer Science (Big Data System) with a focus on machine learning. He is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft in the IndexServe & Object Store Exp Platform, Bing WebXT, Experience + Devices Management team. Rongyu has expertise in objective-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Javascript, and C++. He has worked as a Tech lead on endpoint integration for automated password change in Microsoft Authenticator using Android Webview. He has also worked as a Hardware champion, ensuring everyone has the best working setup. Rongyu has experience in building instability analysis and monitor tools to help increase overall scraping experiment stability from 88% to 95%+. He has also applied auto diagnose and auto cancellation for bad experiments to better use resources. Prior to working at Microsoft, Rongyu worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon in the Seller Performance, Amazon Marketplace team. He maintained an internal database to ensure real-time, low-latency data for internal clients, mostly data scientists, to detect frauds. He created a data ingestion pipeline in AWS Kinesis for migrating data from deprecated services. Rongyu also did validating study on different types of data to measure its usefulness in detecting fraud sellers, removed the data with negligible effect to the output of machine learning models. Rongyu completed his Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2017 and his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2014. He is open to a full-time software engineer role in West Coast (including Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Utah) or remote, with sponsorship required.
