Ronit Chattopadhyay is an experienced software engineer with a focus on developing web-based platforms, applications, and tools in the E-commerce and fintech domains. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he has worked on various aspects of the software development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment of software. Currently, Ronit is working as a Software Development Engineer II at Flipkart, a leading E-commerce company in India, where he is a member of the Fulfilment Services Group (FSG). His current work involves re-architecting, scaling, and optimizing warehouse and inventory management services using Java (Spring Boot), ReactJS, NodeJS, Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS serverless computing. Prior to Flipkart, Ronit worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Quikr, where he was involved in the design and development of microservices for the E-commerce vertical of Quikr: Quikr Bazaar and Zefo. He made significant contributions to the project, including redesigning and developing Zefo wallet, unifying the warehouse and finance flows of Quikr Bazaar and Zefo, migrating about 1 million Zefo users to Quikr platform, and developing a custom margin computation system for Quikr and Zefo. Additionally, he developed various promotional features, including Full COD (0 upfront payment) feature, Zero EMI feature, third-party warranties, and more. Ronit also co-founded Tradub, where he developed a managed marketplace website for buying and selling industrial goods and services. He engineered web-based tools for sellers for internal operations, automated processes including inventory data categorization and stock maintenance, and built applications and pipelines to structure stock and revenue data of different manufacturers in different categories. Ronit holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Jadavpur University, where he studied from 2012 to 2016.
