Roopa Devi Siddalingaiah is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in embedded systems, Perl, embedded C++, Java, and OAW scripting. She has worked in the automotive services industry and has a demonstrated history of collaborating well with team members while also being capable of independently troubleshooting issues. Roopa is a certified mountaineer and has experience leading groups on treks in and around the challenging slopes of Western Ghats. Roopa is currently a co-founder and concept architect at Learning Expedition, where she is responsible for designing, curating, and implementing experiential learning programs for school students. She has engaged with over 500 students and 25 teachers in 12 different learning programs over a duration of 3 months. Roopa interacts with school management and teachers to curate programs for students and handles operational and organizational tasks to arrange and implement them. She is also responsible for recruiting freelancers to coordinate the programs and developing social media marketing, content design, and promotional campaign design. Prior to Learning Expedition, Roopa worked as a senior software engineer at Bosch, where she was responsible for vehicle communication implementation for Fuel Cell Project. She was a functional developer, responsible for requirement analysis, corresponding impact and risk analysis, and evaluation of the requirement. Roopa played a key role in making the project compliant with industry standards such as MISRA and ASPICE. She mentored other developers and provided support as a reviewer. Roopa also automated several recursive tasks to reduce human error and increase efficiency. She organized and engaged in cross-functional collaboration between teams. Roopa has also freelanced as a trek leader at Bangalore Mountaineering Club Pvt Ltd. where she planned and coordinated treks with all stakeholders. She led groups of 25-30 individuals on treks along the challenging slopes of Western Ghats and provided first aid and other support during the trek. Roopa holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. With 8.28 years of relevant experience, Roopa is a skilled software engineer and an entrepreneur with a passion for experiential learning and mountaineering.
