Roshan Rane is a highly experienced IT professional with over 16 years of expertise in IT infrastructure support domain. He has gained extensive knowledge in cloud computing, data center support, virtualization, Windows, UNIX, databases, data protection, storage support, service management, and leadership. Currently, he is the Head of Information Technology Operations - App-Hosting at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical firms. In his current role, Roshan is responsible for leading and managing the operations and service delivery of IT infrastructure and application hosting at GSK. He oversees the IT infrastructure presence of GSK across the globe on highly in-demand cloud and legacy IT on-prem infrastructure. His role demands him to lead, plan, and execute the organization's IT infrastructure strategy, demand, and sustainability through in-house and service providers. He collaborates with business units like R&D, consumer healthcare, supply chain, vaccines, manufacturing units, and clinical research to fulfill their IT requirements and keep it up and running with minimal downtime. Prior to joining GSK, Roshan has worked with Atos as a Senior Service Delivery Manager and Hewlett Packard as a Tech Lead, where he gained valuable experience in managing service delivery and leading technical teams. Roshan has completed his education from Karnatak University and has gained expertise in infra, research scientist, and senior software engineer.
