Roshan Reju is a skilled and experienced Associate Security Engineer with a strong background in application security and cybersecurity. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kochi. Currently, he is working for H&R Block as an Associate Security Engineer in the Application Security Team, performing web application Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), implementing Dev-Sec-Ops approach, and working closely with developers to find vulnerabilities at an early stage and provide mitigations for them. He also supports the bug bounty program and has experience in SAST and Dependency Management. Prior to his current role, Roshan worked for the CSIRT 24/7 team of H&R Block as an Associate Security Engineer, where he investigated cybersecurity/computer network-related incidents, diagnosed issues related to each event, documented the findings in a report, and developed and implemented strategies to handle (or avoid) similar incidents in the future. He also monitored current networks/systems and examined security practices and procedures to find areas for operational improvement. Before joining H&R Block, Roshan worked for Capgemini as a Support Analyst, where he was involved in the development of IT infrastructure, the role of cybersecurity in network infrastructure, infrastructure in the banking domain, security in database infrastructure (Role of Imperva & Splunk in real-time security alerts, Qualys as an endpoint security tool), and storage in banking infrastructure. Roshan is a part-time security researcher in Bug Crowd and HackerOne and is a Certified Ethical Hacker with a certification from EC Council. He was also nominated as one of the finalists in the CEH Hall of Fame 2021 Awards. He is skilled in Python (Programming Language), Ethical Hacking, Android, Mobile Applications, Android Support, and Java Front End Development. Roshan's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kochi, and a High School Diploma from Gems Education. He also completed a Cybersecurity course from Cisco Networking Academy. His tech stack includes Frontend, Android, Test, Research Scientist, Mobile, Web, Infra, Python, and Java.
