Rounak Banik is a highly skilled and motivated individual with expertise in software engineering, data science, and management. He is currently working as a Data Scientist at Fractal Analytics, where he is collaborating with a top 5 US Health Insurance Provider to build systems for the identification and prioritization of high-risk individuals. Rounak has ported a GEE Model to compute days-at-facility from SAS to Python, built a Member Prioritization Model, and created a Hypothesis Testing framework that accounts for engagement, social risks, gaps in care, and high cost and utilization. His work has received an NPS Score of 10 and an ‘On the Spot Award’ for his contribution to the client’s MVP. Prior to his current role, Rounak has worked as a Community Manager, Teaching Assistant, and Code Reviewer at Springboard, where he was responsible for evaluating code written by prospective students of the Data Science and AI/ML Career Track. He was also involved in mentoring students, clarifying questions related to the curriculum, and editing articles for Springboard's official blog.
