Rounak Raj is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in building back-end systems using Java/SpringBoot. He is also proficient in Python, Golang, and Javascript (React/Angular) and has experience in building cloud-native apps using Docker, K8s, and Terraform. Rounak is passionate about learning and building large-scale, distributed, and high-throughput systems. Currently working at Sophos, Rounak is a part of the Cloud Platform Group where he is responsible for developing, evolving, and improving the existing central cloud platform. He has contributed to creating a portal that serves as a directory for all microservices running across the organization, a service health library, and a library to rate-limit certain APIs based on quotas. Rounak has also helped a team migrate cloud infrastructure to new data centers. Prior to Sophos, Rounak worked at Pramati Technologies as a Senior Development Engineer and Development Engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Amity University and completed his schooling from Mount Assisi School.
