Roushan Kumar is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Big Data technologies. He is passionate about distributed systems and streaming technologies and has a strong background in computer science, having completed his B.Tech from NIT Jamshedpur. Roushan is proficient in a range of programming languages including Scala, Python, Java, C/C++, and GoLang. He also has extensive experience working with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Neo4j. Additionally, he is well-versed in a variety of Big Data technologies including Airflow, Spark, SQL, Spark Streaming, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, HDFS, and YARN. He is also skilled in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, and has experience with JMeter, Docker, and Kubernetes. Currently working as a Software Engineer 2 at Coinbase, Roushan is responsible for data platform development, using a tech stack that includes Scala, Python, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, Airflow, Spark, AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks. Prior to this, he worked at Sigmoid, where he was involved in developing end-to-end ETL pipelines, integrating Tableau with NitroDB, and developing a Spark Streaming Application that processed around 10 GB per hour. Roushan holds a Bachelor of Technology (Hons.) in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur, and has completed his 12th and 10th from DAV Public School, Barkakana, Ramgarh, Jharkhand, and Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Ramgarh, Jharkhand, respectively. With his extensive experience in Big Data, data engineering, and data platform development, Roushan is well-equipped to take on challenging roles in these areas.
