Roy Lindauer is a highly experienced software engineer and systems architect with a passion for creating world-class software. With over 20 years of relevant experience, Roy has a creative background and extensive experience in web marketing, which allows him to approach software engineering from multiple perspectives, resulting in a higher quality product for end-users. Currently, Roy is working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Blackbird, where he has implemented a modern CI/CD pipeline, championed continuous delivery engineering practices, and containerized the software stack. He has successfully migrated service infrastructure to AWS with minimal disruption and effectively zero downtime, and developed a toolchain used by the engineers and the CI/CD pipeline to build, test, and deploy production-quality images. The tools developed have greatly reduced on-boarding time for new engineers onto the project. Prior to his current role, Roy worked as a Senior Web Developer at Noble Studios, where he architect websites and web applications of varying scales and complexity. He developed internal processes and procedures, technical services on-boarding process, standard development workflows, staged deployments, and actively developed internal tools to help manage projects and company assets. Roy also worked as a Senior Developer at Lab Analytix, where he developed push socket servers systems and websocket frontends to do real-time data collection for ERP systems. He designed and developed a database and web application for custom ERP systems and managed and deployed RedHat and CentOS based Linux web servers. Roy's technical skills include DevOps, Web, CI/CD, AWS, Software Engineer, infra, Integration, Senior Software Engineer, test, qa, and MySQL. He is interested in DevOps as a culture, systems security, internet privacy, Linux, and managing systems at scale. Roy is seeking to grow and evolve in his role as a software engineer and is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and develop his skills.
