Ruben Abergel is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Siafu Labs, a Software Engineering studio based in San Francisco, CA. Ruben has architected and developed software for clients ranging from large companies to YC startups. Prior to joining Siafu Labs, Ruben worked as a Software Engineer at Monitise where he implemented web and mobile user-facing features as part of the front-end team. He built web/mobile applications using Angular and Cordova that are used by 28 million people worldwide. Ruben also refactored legacy code on a fast-paced schedule to meet customer deadlines and collaborated with distributed teams across the US, Turkey, and India. Ruben's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Codeclass.io, where he created a community of technical instructors and engineers to learn/teach technologies in full-day public and corporate workshops. He designed workshop curriculums with lead instructors for various technologies and provided teachers with technical assistance during workshops by helping students master the curriculum. Ruben was responsible for all organizational aspects, including planning, marketing, instruction, and follow-up. Ruben holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics/Politics from Brandeis University and a French Baccalaureate in Science from College Sevigne.
