Ruben Makhija is a seasoned backend developer with over 6 years of experience in application development. He is currently working as a Member of Technical Staff III at VMware, where he is responsible for developing microservices and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Ruben is proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST, Microservices, SQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Data Structures, and Algorithms. He has hands-on experience in microservices development and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot, and he is well-versed in AWS technologies. Prior to joining VMware, Ruben worked at SAP, where he served as a Developer and Associate Developer. During his time at SAP, he was involved in full-stack development, including the development of Java APIs in commenting microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL. He also created UI components using the SAP UI5 framework and handled build and operation activities for the commenting microservice. Ruben was also responsible for design and development of REST APIs in Java using Apache CXF framework for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) suite release 4.2, an analytics platform for reporting and visualization. He enhanced the Business Objects Java SDK to introduce new features and implemented API endpoints to support functionality such as Scheduling and BI Inbox and Publications in SAP BILaunchpad. Ruben holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He also completed his high school education from India International School, Jaipur.
