He has over 21 years of experience in the digital industry, with expertise in sales operations, investments, and marketing. Prior to CollegeDekho, Ruchir founded HTCampus.com in 2010, which targeted the education advertising and admissions services market. He led the growth of the company's portfolio of six websites and a mobile app, making it the largest and fastest-growing business in its category. The company provided comprehensive and unbiased information to students about careers and colleges, with detailed information on 35,000+ colleges and 100+ K courses. Ruchir also founded mycollegeform.com, India's first and largest common application platform, which processed over 6 lac+ applications last year. Ruchir's experience in the digital industry also includes leading sales operations for Shine.com, India's premier job portal, managing 200+ sales executives across 10 locations. He also led strategic planning for all new business initiatives in the digital business, including research for newer avenues to enter/invest, organic buildups, equity investments, M&A, partnerships, and business alliances. He completed a joint venture transaction in the mobile VAS & marketing space between the world's largest mobile marketing company (Velti Plc) and Firefly, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, planning, deal structuring, and negotiations. Ruchir holds an MBA in Information Technology & Finance from the Indian School of Business (ISB). He has a strong tech stack, including mobile, research scientist, QA, integration, and UI. Ruchir's leadership and entrepreneurial skills have enabled him to create a successful business from scratch, maintaining lean team structures, and reaching break-even operations by the second year. Today, CollegeDekho has close to 200 people working in different functional areas, including analytics, product development, technology, QA, design & UI, SEO, brand marketing, online marketing, social media, PR, retail sales, call center sales, operations, customer service, activation, and acquisition.
