Ruixue Liao is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Typescript, Javascript, React, Java, Scala, JavaScript, Python, Apache Spark, SQL, Cloud computing (Docker, Kafka, AWS, Azure), and Distributed Systems. She is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, where she has designed and built a dashboard generator UI Framework that generates different types of dashboards based on JSON files. The framework supports different layouts, filters, widgets, events, and conditional queries, and various query result structures using React, Redux, Typescript, React-Query, Webpack, and Material-UI. Ruixue has also participated in the query API design and server-side enhancements to support different kinds of filters and serve UI JSON definition files from gcloud datastore. She has played the role of a teach lead to help review and solve other developers' issues, review mockups, and do sprint planning. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and Staff Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, where she built a high-performance server to query a large number of logs using Java Vertx, Redis, and BigQuery, and built a Log Viewer application to enable users to view a large number of logs smoothly. She also built a data pipeline to do data wrangling and analytics on log data and insert the data into BigQuery using Apache Beam and Dataflow. Ruixue has a Master's Degree in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from ESSEC Business School and Tongji University. She has a relevant experience of 7.28 years and possesses a strong engineering background.
