Ruoyu Li is a passionate team player with a strong willingness to contribute efforts and share creative ideas. With research interests in Deep Learning, Medical Image Processing, and Computer Vision, Ruoyu is capable of problem-oriented solution-seeking skills. Currently working as a Research Scientist at meta, Ruoyu's skills and specialties include proficiency in Python and Java, along with familiarity with Tensorflow, Keras, Hive, Spark, and Scala. Ruoyu has a relevant experience of 3.87 years, including past experiences as a Software Engineer Internship at Facebook, where she worked on ads ranking related machine learning problems. She also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was involved in research projects related to graph neural networks, medical image understanding, sparse learning theory, and their applications in MRI, whole slide images, drug discovery, survival analysis, and point cloud classification. She has also worked on large scale distributed learning algorithms, federated learning, and on-device inference. Ruoyu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas, a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnic University (CN).
