Rupanshu Janbandhu is a highly skilled and fast-learning Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Data Science, Solution Engineering, Analytics, and Deep Learning. With 3.86 years of relevant experience, he has successfully dealt with data science problems in finance, food safety and security, and mental health. Rupanshu has worked with a personal loan lending company in their credit risk department to develop a CIBIL-like scorecard for the customer base using Machine Learning. He used a Logistic Regression model with ROC-AUC as the metric to predict whether a customer will default on a loan or not. The model set for deployment was ~50% better than the previous one, and the category of customers he worked on brought around 80% of the company revenue. He has also worked with a US-based startup in the field of food safety associated with the Government of India. He designed and developed ML proof of concepts and executed satisfactory models on the cloud. Rupanshu ranked 150/10000 in a hackathon organized by Analytics Vidhya, where he made a model that predicts the propensity of a customer to buy an insurance policy given their demographic and past data. He tried various cross-validation schemes with Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, ExtraTrees, KMeans, XGBoost, LightGBM, and Neural Networks, and the selected model was Catboost optimized on 5-Folds cross-validation. Apart from his professional experience, Rupanshu has a keen interest in the new advances in the machine intelligence field. He has made several personal projects, and one of them is called Whatsapp Relations, which applies the word2vec model on Whatsapp group chats to find out relations between the terms appearing in it.
