Rupesh Chandra is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience in global financial services markets, including the US, Australia, Europe, and India. He is currently working as a Portfolio Manager at Capgemini, where he is part of a special group mandated to develop functional and cross-functional AI capabilities in financial services LOB. Rupesh's responsibilities include supporting BFSI and Insurance portfolio expansion globally, E2E project delivery, and strengthening AI CoE's offering with solution and data product offerings. Prior to Capgemini, Rupesh worked as an Associate Vice President at Xceedance, where he built a brand-new data science capability from scratch and established an industry-recognized insurance data science capability. He also worked with client teams to drive change management and higher adoption of solutions delivered by leveraging Machine Learning Interpretability using concepts like kLIME and SHAP. Rupesh also managed client/stakeholder expectations and communications worldwide (US, Australia, Europe). Before Xceedance, Rupesh worked as a Senior Manager at EXL, where he managed a team of 45 analysts and data scientists engaged with four clients across the US, Australia, and Europe. He formulated specific projects, prototypes, and pilots based on understanding business needs and opportunities and advocated for data-centric business practices and adoption of best applications and common infrastructure. Rupesh holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from St. Joseph and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications from Birla Institute of Technology. He is skilled in AI, ML, Data Scientist, NLP, Computer Vision, AWS, Python, Data Engineering, and Infra. Rupesh is passionate about pushing organizational transformation by leveraging AI, Machine Learning, and business intelligence across functional and cross-functional business units.
