Rupesh Satija is an experienced product strategist and software architect with over 16 years of experience in the field. With a strong background in video quality, streaming, analytics, and machine learning, he has become a domain expert in this area. He has also worked extensively on cloud services, distributed systems, big data systems, and mobile middlewares. Rupesh has implemented streaming protocols on mobile platforms such as Android and iOS, including RTP, RTSP, RTCP, SDP, MS-WMSP, HTTP 1.0, HTTP 1.1, Smooth Streaming, HLS, and DASH. He has a good knowledge of various open-source players such as Shaka, hls, Exoplayer, dash.js, etc. He is also familiar with home networking protocols like UPnP DA, UPnP AV, and DLNA, and has experience in multimedia framework design and implementation. Additionally, he has worked with file formats such as MP4, PIFF, and MPEG2, and has experience in DRM, including Microsoft Playready. Rupesh is skilled in secure coding and has a deep understanding of cryptography principles. He has also worked with the media sync protocol, including Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) and the transport module used by MTP based on USB physical layer on Symbian-based devices.
