Rupesh Sonar is a highly experienced Process Specialist I at Fluor Daniel India Private Limited with over 11 years of experience in FEED, Detail Process engineering, Process Simulations, Vessel Sizing, Plant Operations, Pressure Safety/Relief Valves Analysis and Mitigation study, Control valve & Heat exchanger ratings, and Project activities. He is currently working on the Polyols Petrochemicals project for BPCL in Kochi, Kerala, India, where he is responsible for reviewing P&IDs and PFDs, performing quality checks of PSVs analysis and sizing, and preparing relief load summaries. Rupesh has also worked as a Senior Process Engineer at Worley, where he was involved in several projects, including the Superior Refinery Rebuild for Husky Superior Refining Company LLC, the ACE Refinery for Exxonmobil Company, and the BASF VEGA in JI SITE, Singapore. In these projects, he was responsible for preparing P&IDs and PFDs, performing sizing and adequacy checks of PSVs, hydraulic calculations, control valves calculation and process data sheets, and preparing upset conditions for DPDT. He also performed transient surge analysis using piping hydraulics and suggested mitigations where required. Prior to joining Worley, Rupesh worked as a Senior Associate - Projects at Cognizant, where he was responsible for performing quality checks by preparing detailed test plans of various proposed/scheduled features for upgradation in VISUAL FLARE, PIPEPHASE, INPLANT, and Pro II. He also extended secondary support for customer queries. Rupesh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from UDCT, NMU, Jalgaon, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Process Engineering from MITSkills Pune. He also has a background in Science and Semi English from ASCC and VVC. Rupesh is proficient in using software such as Hysys, Aspen hysys, AFT Impulse, PALS, and VESA.
