Russell Teabeault is a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer at Twitter with over 15 years of experience building enterprise software. Russell loves building software and tools that enable the rapid deployment of working code into production, as he believes that the faster code can be deployed, the faster customer feedback can help drive business decisions. Russell has a proven track record of success, having worked for several high-profile companies throughout his career. At Rally Software, he was a Principal Software Engineer, where he advocated for the transformation of the ALM SaaS application and drove several engineering efforts. He also worked on a team building services to provide real-time application updates via webhooks, email, and websockets. Russell was responsible for rewriting the existing search page using React/Flux JS, adding new search functionality, as well as Solr tuning. He also built a continuous delivery pipeline to deploy SaaS services onto Rally's on-premise product using Docker and VMWare virtual machines. Before joining Rally, Russell worked for BEA Systems as a Software Engineer. He was the lead engineer in the certification of Weblogic Portal running on JRockit's LiquidVM and VMWare's ESX server. Russell was also responsible for developing custom data transfer protocol on top of HTTP for client-based ant tasks to communicate with remote propagation servlet. He extended and refactored the Weblogic Portal Content Management System's API and SPI layer. Russell served as a technical lead for a major product rewrite to enhance scalability, and he also served as a technical lead in the development of product service packs. Russell has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated in 1999. He is confident and capable in both object-oriented and functional styles of programming and has experience with several technologies, including Docker, Java, SQL, Elastic Search, Clojure, and Ruby.
