Ryan Oswald is a seasoned Principal UX/UI Designer with over 9 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Senior Lead UX/UI Designer at Lam Research, where he is responsible for designing and developing web and mobile applications for the company. Ryan is passionate about design and strives to understand the needs and wants of users as if they were his own. He has a strong background in web design, mobile app development, iOS, Android, and 3D design. In addition, he has developed front-end skills that have enhanced his designs, allowing him to create better user experiences. Ryan's past experiences include working as a Principal UX/UI Designer at Enlil, where he led the thought patterns on building a new company in the medical device field from the ground up. He developed a Material system for the company to follow, created a Figma library for the use of Material Library across multiple projects at once, and integrated new API systems to help with struggling dev resources. He also advanced the practice of iconography, color theory, user interaction theories, and user guidance to ensure that users understand medical device field terms. Ryan has also worked as a Mobile App Security, Escalations, and UI Developer at Google, where he developed and implemented best practices, reference implementations, automation, and testing for application security for the Android market. He also led UX/UI design and development for in-house Google chrome extension "Easy Annotate" using Html, CSS, JavaScript, Agile, and jQuery. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Design Studies and Animation from San Jose State University and a Digital Animation degree from San Francisco State CEL. He is also proficient in UI, research science, designer, mobile, Android, iOS, frontend, web, and infra tech stacks. Ryan is a passionate designer who loves to study new designs and trends for fun. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting museums and creating big silly characters in 3D.
