Ryan T. is a highly experienced software engineer, currently working at Twitter in the developer platform division. With over 14 years of relevant experience, Ryan has been involved in a range of projects at Twitter, including leading the Search API team and working on the Historical PowerTrack and InsightsTrack products. In addition to his work at Twitter, Ryan has also worked as a software engineer at Conspire, a TechStars graduate that was later acquired by FullContact. While at Conspire, Ryan primarily developed in Scala using Play and Akka and worked on integrations with Neo4j and ElasticSearch. He also built a deployment system based on CoreOS and Docker. Prior to this, Ryan worked as a consultant at Capgemini. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Trinity University and also studied International Relations and Affairs at Sciences Po Strasbourg. He has a strong tech stack that includes Scala, Corpus, Search, Neo4j, RabbitMQ, Docker, Elastic Search, and Web. In addition to his work as a software engineer, Ryan also teaches classes on Scala for Twitter's internal education effort and coordinates Twitter University courses in the company's Boulder office.
