S J Rajath Krishna is a proficient and experienced software engineer with expertise in Android and full-stack web development. He has gained exposure to several technology stacks through academic and professional projects and has a solid academic background. He has also worked on machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing projects, which has piqued his interest in this domain. Currently, Rajath is working as a student mentor at Google for the Google Summer of Code program. He has contributed to Anita Borg's Systers Open Source Organization and has been responsible for rating GSoC student proposals, helping students solve technical and project-related issues, guiding students with new ideas, better project design decisions, optimizations, reviewing pull requests, and providing feedback. In the past, Rajath has worked as a senior software development engineer at Dish Network, where he was involved in debugging, investigating, and fixing numerous platform and app bugs, and even adding workarounds for some Android framework bugs. He has also worked as a student developer at Google Summer of Code, where he designed proposals with the plan of implementation and relevant mock-ups, designed project structures with emphasis on modularity, reusability, and code scalability, and used Node.js, Angular4, MySQL related stack for developing interactive games for malaria education. Rajath has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from PES and has completed his schooling from St. Joseph's Boys' High School and Cathedral High School. He has a relevant experience of 9.85 years and is proficient in software engineering, Android, web development, deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning, Javascript, and MySQL. He is intrigued by tackling problems that do not have off-the-shelf solutions.
