S.A. Kumar is an experienced entrepreneur with a total of 30 years of professional experience in various software and product companies. He has worked as the Head of Business Excellence and Quality Management in Infineon Technologies, India, Bangalore, where he was also a part of the Infineon Technologies India Management Team. Kumar has been involved in many state-of-the-art complete product development projects and has delivered products to international markets, including digital satellite set-top boxes, DVD recorders, hard disk recorders, media centers, mobile phones, and LCD TVs. He has also contributed to the development of a digital beam forming (DBF) system for radar for the DRDO organization, various GUI-based VC++ applications for a digital telecom switch for Siemens Communications, and electrical systems and avionics for the LCA Project (Fighter Aircraft). Kumar has played the role of Global Software Manager in Philips Consumer Electronics Division, where he was responsible for the entire software stack, including driver, audio and video streaming, services, GUI, applications, and third-party applications, with multi-site program management across seven sites in Asia, Europe, and the USA. He has managed projects with budgets ranging from 2 to 7 million Euros. Kumar has defined processes for the entire software organization based on ISO 9001:2008 and SEI CMMI Level 5 and deployed them in projects and support functions. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Kumar has created and led teams with sizes ranging from 50 to 300 in both Indian and MNC companies for different product development projects. He is currently an entrepreneur/franchisee at 3M Car Care Store, where he manages the store and provides services such as car washing, detailing, and maintenance. Kumar has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in HR and Marketing from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering. He also has a PUC degree from National College, Bangalore, and an SSLC degree from National High School, Bangalore.
