Sabarish Vadarevu is a Data Science Manager at Akridata, where he focuses on extracting informative subsets from large, unlabeled image datasets using unsupervised learning and computer vision models. With a strong background in applied math, Sabarish is responsible for designing, developing, validating, and testing machine learning techniques for data science teams on Akridata's data management and exploration platforms. Prior to his current role, Sabarish was a Tech Lead in Data Science at Akridata, where he trained and benchmarked efficient computer vision models for the autonomous vehicle domain. He has also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, where he explored the linearity of impulse response in high Reynolds number flows to understand turbulence dynamics in terms of travelling coherent structures. Sabarish holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering from the University of Southampton, a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution. His technical skills include data science, machine learning, research, computer vision, Python, neural networks, SQL, supervised learning, senior software engineering, FaceNet, AI, data engineering, deep learning, Spark, and TensorFlow. With almost five years of relevant experience, Sabarish is a highly motivated and skilled data scientist with a passion for leveraging machine learning to extract insights from complex datasets.
