Sachin Thapliyal is a seasoned product leader with over 16 years of experience in building and defining products for a diverse range of users in the consumer Internet space. He has a strong background in B2C, B2B, eCommerce, eRealty, finTech, OTT, online gaming, and ERP industries. Sachin has worked with some of the most exciting companies in the industry, including Jio Platforms, MX Player, PayU, Housing.com, Paytm, Rocket Internet, and Oracle Corporation. Before transitioning into product management, Sachin started his career as a software developer and spent 8 years writing code, primarily with Oracle ERP Applications development. In the later part of his developer career, he worked on building an eCommerce platform, gaining experience in all aspects of multi-tier web-based product development. As the VP of Product Management at Jio, Sachin is currently focused on building consumer Internet products and mentoring product teams at Jio Media, with a particular focus on JioTV+ and JioSaavn. He has also worked as a product consultant and mentor for various consumer Internet and ERP products and professionals, including AnandRathi group's LXME and TradeMobi. During his time as the Head of Products at MX Player, Sachin built and mentored a multi-cultural team of product managers and product analysts, working on launching online video streaming, online audio streaming, online games, video-led eCommerce, and other online entertainment avenues on the world-class local media player. Sachin holds a Senior Management Program degree in Business Administration and Management from IIM and a B.Info.Tech. degree in Information Technology from Delhi University. His tech stack includes product management, senior software engineering, web development, and software engineering.
