Safal Tyagi is an Associate Manager at NEC India with over 5 years of experience in business development and procurement. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UPTU and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing & Operations from FORE School of Management. Safal's career started as a Procurement Executive with Global Canesugar Services, where he was responsible for end-to-end procurement and delivery of sugar plant equipment and machinery across the globe. He was also in charge of responding to RFPs, vendor management, and quality control. During his tenure, he won an "Extra Miler" award for winning the maximum number of deals in a quarter. Safal's interest in marketing and operations led him to pursue a PGDM program with FORE School of Management. During the course of his studies, he interned with National Innovation Foundation as a Business Developer and was among the 10 students of the batch to receive an A+ grade in the summer internship project. Post completion of his PGDM, Safal's internship experience in the business development domain helped him secure a role as a Business Development Analyst at Cognizant. He was responsible for driving the overall sales life cycle from the Professional Services standpoint, which included owning responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ as per client requirements, developing business cases for outsourcing to clients and internal stakeholders, and liaising and jointly working with internal and external teams on client deliverables. Safal has also completed certification courses in Spanish language (Basic, Intermediate & Diploma) and AutoCAD drawings. He has also worked as a Campaign Manager at I-PAC, where he managed various campaigns for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, managed the boarding and traveling facilities for campaign executives across 400 constituencies in India, and managed and arranged the banners & collateral for the campaigns. Safal's current role at NEC India involves driving the overall sales life cycle, inclusive of solution development, bid management, and commercial engineering. He closely aligns with on-site sales teams to directly drive new business and expansion of existing accounts, liaising with the offshore delivery team for building end-to-end solutions.
