Sahil Agarwal is an experienced individual with a background in teaching and software engineering. Currently working as a Research Intern at the University of California, San Diego, he is responsible for providing research advice to Prof. Andrew Kahng at the VLSI CAD lab on clock distribution problems in VLSI circuits. Sahil has previously worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, San Diego, where he was responsible for leading discussion sections, holding office hours, creating and grading exams and assignments for courses such as Algorithms (CSE 101), Artificial Intelligence (CSE 150), and Discrete Math (CSE 21). In addition to his teaching experience, Sahil has also worked as a Software Engineer at LiftIgniter, where he was responsible for automating and improving recommendation quality. He worked on automating the ML pipeline to continuously tweak models to improve recommendation quality, deployed learnt models in production leading to improvement in CTR by up to 50% for various customers, and reduced costs by $44k a year by transferring data processing jobs from Google Cloud’s Dataflow framework to its independent clusters. Sahil holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a High School degree from Army Public School, Pune. He has a relevant experience of 5.02 years and possesses a strong tech stack in software engineering and ML. Sahil is currently looking for opportunities in sports management and is eager to apply his expertise in teaching and software engineering to this field. He is a motivated individual with a passion for learning and is always looking for new challenges to take on.
