Sahil Arora is a passionate software engineer and problem solver with almost 5 years of professional experience in building products that solve complex real-world problems. Currently, he works as a Software Engineer II at Amazon. Prior to this, he worked as a Software Engineer at Google and as an Associate at Goldman Sachs. During his time at Google, Sahil was responsible for reducing the time-to-market of new features/enhancements to the BeyondCorp Enterprise products from multiple weeks to within days by developing a fully autonomous test framework to run integration tests on multiple environments. He received an Exceeds Expectations (EE) rating in the first performance cycle for the quality of work, achieved by less than 5% of Googlers globally in the first cycle. He also served as an instructor for about 250 new hire engineers in the Google APAC region aimed to help them understand the technology stack and as a mentor for two new hires in the team to help them ramp up and navigate the everyday at Google and the team. Sahil also initiated one of Google India’s biggest volunteer-led efforts to tackle the 2nd COVID-19 wave during April-May 2021 with 300+ volunteers. The efforts were recognized by the VP, Engineering of Google Cloud EngProd, and he appeared as a guest speaker at a global internal event on preventing the spread of COVID-19. Sahil is a graduate of Lancer's Convent High School. He has expertise in Software Engineering, testing, integration, Senior Software Engineering, and CI/CD. He is also a GSoC Mentor for 2019-2020 and a Developer for 2017-18 TLF. Sahil is a Co-ordinator (ex) of the Programming Club at IIT Mandi.
