Sahil Kini is the Co-Founder and CEO of Setu, a company on a mission to make finance intuitive and ubiquitous. He is a firm believer in the power of networks as a means to create and unlock value. Sahil has had an impressive career trajectory, starting out as a consultant at McKinsey & Company after graduating from IIT Madras. Sahil's early years were spent failing at building an Industrial IoT company ahead of its time. He was fortunate enough to be among the first few team members of the Aadhaar project when it launched in September 2010. At Aadhaar, he wrote RFPs, set up citizen helplines, and witnessed first hand why and how bureaucracies work. Sahil has also spent time meandering fruitfully, prototyping medical implants and children's toys at Titan, and helped build India's first Mobile PoS (Ezetap). He was an early stage venture capital investor in fintech before co-founding Setu. As a Venture Advisor at aspada investments, Sahil has been instrumental in backing disruptive market leaders solving hard problems in India across a range of sectors, including fintech, agricultural supply chains, edtech, and healthcare delivery. Setu, Sahil's current venture, wants to empower every company to become a fintech company. Setu partners with financial institutions, enables account creation and management, routes payments across networks, and absorbs the complexity of regulations for businesses who want to offer financial services to their customers. Setu offers open APIs across four categories - bills, savings, credit, and payments, making it easy for all companies to plug-and-play financial services. Sahil's educational background includes a B.Tech in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering from IIT Madras and Pre-University from MGM. He has 19.45 years of relevant experience and is skilled in Parts-of-speech and Mobile technologies.
