Sahiti Yerramilli is an accomplished computer vision researcher and software engineer with a diverse background in the field. Currently, she is a Research Collaborator at Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute where she is working on stereo in low light environments for navigation under the guidance of Professor Jeff Schneider. She is also an incoming Research Intern at Google Research, where she will be working on cutting-edge research projects in the field of computer vision. Sahiti has previously worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft where she gained hands-on experience with Microsoft Hololens and MR Tool-kit. During her time at Microsoft, she developed a part of an app aimed at creating 3D visualizations for better analysis of tabular data. She implemented a new visualization, circular bar chart, and an animation feature to toggle between bar chart variants. She also gained familiarity with Unity 3D, a gaming engine, and acquired basic knowledge of C# and XAML, the back-end and front-end technologies of the app respectively. Sahiti holds a Master of Science in Computer Vision from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Warangal, where she was awarded the Gold Medal. She has also completed her Intermediate education from Nano Junior College, Hyderabad, and her ICSE from St. Joseph Public School, Hyderabad. Sahiti's technical expertise includes research science, software engineering, and front-end and back-end development. She has 1.44 years of relevant experience in the field, and her passion for computer vision research and development is evident in her work. With her diverse skill set and experience, Sahiti is poised to make a significant impact in the field of computer vision and beyond.
