Sai Charan Talipineni is an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect specialized in Data and AI. He is currently serving as the Manager of Analytics Architecture at Viatris, a global pharmaceutical company with a workforce of approximately 45,000 and a presence in over 165 countries. Sai has worked with various business partners across ten countries to build automated advanced analytics and reporting platforms, saving around 18,000 hours per month of manual effort. He has been a major part of the entire data engineering lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, architecture, implementation, troubleshooting, production deployment, support, and enhancements. Sai has expertise in building ELT/ETL workflows to incrementally move data from multiple on-premises and external sources to Azure data lake and data warehouse by orchestrating various stages of the process using Data Factory. He has also employed a three-stage (bronze, silver, and gold) data warehousing model, performed Dimensional Data Modeling, built views, transformed data using stored procedures and Databricks (PySpark). Sai is skilled in writing complex SQL queries to transform and aggregate data into metrics and KPIs. He has worked with non-relational data formats like json, parquet, and has supported building Analysis Service models, Alteryx workflows, and Power BI rich graphic interactive visualizations/dashboards. Sai has also developed Logic App workflows to integrate outlook, automate Analysis Service models data refresh, and workflows success email notifications to business stakeholders. He has employed Azure DevOps CI/CD process at all stages to manage deployments across development, test, and production environments. Sai has developed Azure Automation Accounts Runbook scripts using PowerShell to resize/start/stop Analysis Services and Dedicated SQL Pools, which helped in cost-saving. He has established connections among all Azure resources, followed security and privacy practices using Azure AD, ACL, RBAC, Managed identities/MSI, and service principal. Prior to joining Viatris, Sai worked as a Graduate Intern Informatics at Gateway Health, where he analyzed and described if the gateway’s campaign influenced women receiving a mammogram. He fetched 5 years of insurance claims data from the Oracle database, cleaned, standardized, and performed statistical data analysis on datasets having nearly 4,000,000 observations and 20 attributes using SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL (ad-hoc queries).
