Sai Rahul is an experienced Back End Developer with a keen interest in Software Architecture. He graduated from BITS Pilani with a BE in Computer Science and has 4.78 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently, he is working as a Back End Developer at Wakao, where he was the first employee of the company. He has built a video conversion pipeline using AWS mediaconvert, Eventbridge, and Lambda, and has implemented user management and auth using JWT. He has also designed and implemented actions like likes, follows, votes, and reports using SQS, and has speeded up many APIs using caching using Redis and DynamoDB. Additionally, he has implemented a near-realtime leaderboard. In his previous role as a Back End Developer at Wysh, Sai Rahul designed and developed REST backend, database, and cloud from scratch. He integrated payment services like Razorpay, PayTM, Stripe, and Paypal. He also integrated Twilio and MSG91 for sending OTP, promotional, and transactional messages. Sai Rahul introduced a Bulk Promotional Email Tool using AWS SES and implemented Dynamic pricing to increase per order value. He also added social features like follows, shares, likes, and comments. Before joining Wysh, Sai Rahul worked as a Back End Developer at Gifskey, where he migrated Gifskey backend from PHP to Golang. He increased server capacity from 500 req/sec to 2500 req/sec with the same resources using Golang, changes in the database, and Nginx. He also reduced multi-word search latency from 1000 msec to 200 msec by improvising SQL queries and database schema. Sai Rahul introduced caching for most used words, thereby reducing latency to 50 msec. He also worked on search and CDN logs parsing.
