Sajal Sirohi is a skilled Data Engineer with a keen interest in Internet of Things, data engineering solutions, web applications, and cloud-based solutions. He graduated from VIT University with a B.Tech degree in ECE with specialization in IoT and Sensors. Sajal has gained extensive experience in handling medical data with Spark, Python, Scala, and Airflow during his time as a Software Engineer cum Data Engineer at Optum, a part of UnitedHealth Group. Currently, he is working as a Data Engineer at Target, where he is responsible for developing data engineering solutions. Sajal has also worked as the Publicity and Outreach Head at the International Society of Automation and as a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, where he worked under Professor Nipun Batra. During his internship, he developed an end-to-end smart solution for a campus dashboard and machine learning for sustainability. This included developing a smart car parking system, a water preservation system, and a personal wearable air quality monitoring system. As a Summer Intern at Hero Electronix, Sajal actively worked under the IoT technical team to develop end-to-end smart solutions. His tech stack includes Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Spark, Apache Airflow, AWS, Python, ML, SQL, Web, Scala, Backend, and Infra.
