Salma Shaik is a rising junior majoring in Computer Science Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Amravati. With a keen interest in programming and development, Salma has experience in Machine Learning and Tech Evangelism. She is into Web Development, Data Science, ModelOps, and Development for Voice & Social Good. Salma's research interests are focused on Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and currently, AI for Medical Image Analysis of Neuroimaging Data. Salma has a strong technical background, with expertise in ML, Research Scientist, Software Engineer, Deep Learning, Web, Computer Vision, AI, and Data Scientist. She is currently working as an Intern Engage Mentee at Microsoft and has previously worked as a Deep Learning Researcher at Air Center VITAP and as a Harvard WECode Scholar '22 at Harvard WECode: Women Engineers Code Conference. Salma's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Computer Science Engineering from VIT, with a remarkable 9.38 GPA. She also completed her K-12 education from International Indian School, Jeddah. Salma is an active member of the tech community and has organized various events as a GDSC WoW HYD Organizer and Google DSC Lead 2022-23, Crowdsource Facilitator. She has also worked on Applied ML research at CMU and Privacy-preserving ML at OpenMined. With 0.43 years of relevant experience, Salma is an ambitious and driven individual with a passion for technology.
