Salman Ahmed Basheer is a highly experienced Senior Member Of Technical Staff at VMware, with almost 15 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a skilled software engineer with expertise in a wide range of technologies, including Python, SQL, Flask, Golang, Deep Learning, RabbitMQ, AI, Redis, Docker, ML, Jenkins, DevOps, Postgres, and Web. Currently working with the HCI BU of VMware Cloud Foundation, Salman is a part of the Supportability and Serviceability (SoS) framework that is shipped along with the SDDC stack. This framework supports diagnostics collection and health checks and follows a Restful architecture. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, Salman is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of this framework and contributing to its development. Prior to joining VMware, Salman worked with Oracle as a Principal Member Of Technical Staff, where he built a utility and productivity framework for Oracle LCM and OCI product lines. He also developed a reporting framework using Python and Flask from scratch, which analyzed thousands of logs and generated reports for orchestration workflows. Before that, he worked with Huawei as a Technical Project Lead, where he worked on SNE SDK bindings that helped customers and developers communicate with the core product. The SDK supported REST and SIP endpoints. Salman holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from the University College of Engineering, Kariavattom. He also attended Arya Central School and Sree Vidyadhiraja Vidhya Peedom for his schooling. With his extensive experience and expertise in various technologies, Salman is a valuable asset to any organization he works with.
