Saloni Garg is a highly accomplished big-data engineer currently working at Wayfair. She is a passionate contributor to the Open Source community and loves sharing her ideas and projects in conferences and meetups. Saloni is the recipient of the International Women in Open Source Award by Red Hat in 2019, which was presented at the keynote of Red Hat Summit in Boston by DeLisa Alexander (former Chief People's officer). She is also a Mozilla Open Leader and a Google Venkat Scholar. Saloni has presented at multiple conferences and events, including UseDataConf (ML and Data Science Conference) in Moscow, Russia, Red Hat Summit in Boston, USA, DevConf in Bangalore, India, Linux App Summit in Barcelona, Spain, MEC Developer Conference in Kochi, India, LWT San Francisco Summit in San Francisco, USA, and BuildStuff in Vilnius, Lithuania. She was an organizer at Linux App Summit 2019 in Barcelona and anchored, emceed, and interviewed a lot of amazing speakers and core Linux contributors. Saloni has worked with GNOME as a University Outreach Advocate and with Natural Resources Canada | Ressources naturelles Canada as a Carbon Budget Modeller. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), where she graduated in 2020. Saloni is skilled in Data Science, Research Science, Data Engineering, ML, DevOps, and Infra. With 3.27 years of relevant experience, she is a talented professional with a passion for technology and innovation.
